Serena walked home from school, the same way she always did. Walking past the bus stop she didn’t notice the boy on the bench follow her with his eyes. Still within sight of the boy on the bench she met up with Darien. He watched them greet each other with a loving hug. Darien caught his eye, so he dropped his gaze back towards the floor.
“ Something wrong ?”, asked Serena.
“ No.”, he replied, taking his eyes off the bench and smiling at Serena, “ See you later. Ok.”
She nodded in reply and continued home. Darien walked past the boy, as he went passed he felt strange. There was Something he didn’t like about him. Watching Darien go he got up and walked in Serena’s direction.
And I know she’s a queen who deserves a king
But I’m not a king
And she doesn’t see me
At home, Serena stood in front of the wardrobe, deciding what to wear to meet up with Darien.
“What do you think Luna, how does this look?”
“ I didn’t come here to be a fashion consultant. I’m telling you to be on your guard, there’s something strange going on.”
“Don’t worry Luna, it’s just Rei.”, Serena replied back, looking at her watch. “Oh no, I’m gonna be late! Bye Luna”, she yelled rushing out.
Luna rolled her eyes and fell back on the bed.
When she dances she moves me to a smile
I see everything near her shine
There is a grace in her ways I can’t contain
I don’t have that grace
And she doesn’t see me
Serena came tearing down the street, the reason. late, as usual, to meet Darien. She was so busy concentrating on how her hair was she ran right into someone and both went flying to the ground.
“ Sorry.”, she said getting up. She had seen this person some where before, but couldn’t quite recall.
“ Don’t worry about it.”, he said, the mysterious boy from the bench. He too got up and looked her in the eyes.
A second seemed to last forever, Serena felt strange inside till he moved his gaze to the floor and walked past her. He turned to see her walk off towards the park, a sharp pain hit his chest and he fell to his knees, struggling with the demon inside.
“ Moon,”, he whispered, “No, I won’t let you, I will protect her”.
And the closer I get, I can’t help but hide
So ashamed of my body and voice
There are boundaries we pass in spite of the war
But our own, we cant seem to cross
“ Why did you bring me here?”
The Demon inside him spoke,
“Look”.
There they were, Serena and Darien in the park, alone. Happily sitting there were two lovers, unaware of the observer and the danger so close.
He has a way that surrounds him, so delicate
With a glory that reigns in his life
He is also so much that he is not
These things they don’t see
And she doesn’t see me
“ They are there for the taking, let me out, let me do my job, you will then be granted your greatest desire, immortality”, the demon spoke again.
“No!”, he cried, “ I’d rather die than let you harm her!”
The pain came again, This time he lost the battle. He fell to the floor, the monster rose up out of him.
“Arrrh! What’s that?”, Serena yelled.
The two of them got up and Darien stood in front, pushing Serena back. Serena and Darien dissappeared. In their place stood Sailor Moon and Tuxedo mask.
“ Stay back Sailor Moon, it’s an assassin.”
The demon outstretched an arm and easily threw Tuxedo Mask to one side. Sailor Moon was worried. The assassin charged up what looked like some sort of weapon. She couldn’t move, She was frozen.
There are things we can change, if we just choose to fight
But the walls of injustice are high
“NO!”.
The boy found his strength to get up and ran in front of Sailor Moon. There was an immense flash of light as both he, the host and the demon vanished into nothingness, into oblivion.
Serena dropped to her knees.
He sacrificed himself, for me, she thought, for me.
When she passes me by she’s a ray of light
Like the first drop of sun from the sky
And I know she’s a queen who deserves a king
Someone other than me
She doesn’t see me
She doesn’t see me
