SSC - Fiction: Short Story

Burning Tears
by Deniruru

Chaos, what an evil creature, what an evil thing! Why did she torture the lives of senshi from far away galaxies? Why did she take away the very lives of my friends? These were all questions I wanted answers to, but I didn’t get what I wanted, instead I got more pain and misery.

Sailor Galaxia stared at me with sad eyes. I wondered why Chaos would try and kill this helpless girl. I turned around and looked at Sailor Chibi Chibi, so young, yet so brave. She reminds me a lot of myself.

Chibi Chibi shut her eyes and started to speak. “There will be another future. Light and Darkness will be reborn again along with The Cauldron, so it’ll be alright to destroy it.” Galaxia faced me with a confused look. “Future…Strange how I still have word still inside of me. Why is that?” she said. I smiled at her; I knew she was starting to heal herself from the evil that possessed her. “Yes, you’ve almost broken Chaos’ evil spell. I guess peace will not come that easily. A new future will always be created.” I answered. I stood up and faced Chibi Chibi. “There should be Light and Darkness, battles, hopes, life, death, happiness, and sadness. They will be reborn again, so we won’t even bother destroying the Cauldron.” Chibi Chibi looked shocked. “Everything is born from the stars.” She finished for me. I smiled at Her.

I noticed something strange about Galaxia, as if she was worried about something. “Sailor Moon,” said Galaxia. “You believe in the future of this galaxy? Sailor Moon, are you a Senshi who loves all?” Galaxia started to drift away I could see it in her eyes as she reached her hand toward me. “Sailor Moon, you are the star I’ve been looking for! I’ve finally found you!” I reached out to grab her hand but as her bracelets cracked she slowly disappeared. “So big, so bright, but never to be mine…”said Galaxia as her body shattered. I screamed out her name and hoped she’d regain strength but it was to late. All that was left was her Sapphire Crystal.

Chibi Chibi looked up at me. “Chibi Chibi, I won’t give up!” I said as I looked at Galaxia’s Sapphire Crystal. “Everyone believed in me… At the end of the battle, there is hope for the future. I will make a future for all of my friends and hopefully I’ll revive all the new friends I lost.” I looked into Chibi Chibi’s eyes. I could tell she was worried about me, for some reason I fell as if I could almost read her mind, as if me and her were one in the same. “Don’t you ever give into the evil forces, trust me. Our hope and future will never disappear…” I told her. Tears ran down my cheek and I started to speak again. “As long as stars shine, we are ok. We will never lose.”

Chibi Chibi nodded. “Sure, whatever you say…” Her wings gotten bigger and bright colors surround the young one.

The colors slowly disappeared and a full-grown woman appeared. She was so bright and she looked identical to me. “Is this Chibi Chibi?” I asked myself. The woman smiled at me and kissed my cheek. “Sailor Moon, we won’t lose, I know we won’t, because we are the Sailor Senshi.” She said to me. I turned around and looked at the Cauldron. “Long way down…” I sighed. The woman looked startled at my words and yelled at me. “Sailor Moon! Don’t jump into Cauldron, It’ll be your grave!!” I ignored her and closed my eyes. “Sailor Moon, don’t do it!” she yelled. I still didn’t listen to her. Instead I took the leap. “Sailor Moon!! You Idiot!” were the last words I heard from her as I fell deeper and deeper into the Cauldron.

I thought things I never thought about before I took the plunge, it’s like as if I got a burst of energy while I jumped into my death. Now I know why Queen Metalia, Death Phantom, Pharaoh 90, Nephernia, and Chaos, tried to kill me. It was all because wanted to be near me. It’s the same as me wanting to be with my friends. We are all lonely stars searching for each other. We all just need friends. That’s why or lives revolve around one another. I hugged myself tightly and dived into Chaos. “I will trap you inside this Cauldron to save everything, Chaos!” I yelled as I drilled a hole into Chaos.

Chaos screamed in pain as she slowly disappeared. “To save everything…I don’t know if I could do that. Wait, all I need is hope!” I said as I touched the floor of the Cauldron.

The Silver Imperial Crystal appeared, my wings shined bright, and my hope was greater. I wanted to win! “Senshi who sleep in the Cauldron, give me your ever lasting strength, give me your power!” I screamed as billions of lights shined toward me. I felt the strength inside of me, I knew I can win; I had the confidents I needed!

The lights shot toward me and like soft cotton balls. I felt so much comfort like when I was with my friends. I was happy once more. I flew deeper into the heart of Chaos. I opened my eyes. “Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!” I yelled as Chaos’ cries pressed against me. “No! You’re tearing me apart! It burns!” cried Chaos. My light tied her up squeezed her tightly.

I wrapped her in a great ball of light, thinking that I could heal her, but I was wrong. The power was too much for her as it was for me. I wanted to save everyone but I disappeared into the great sea of the Cauldron. All that was left of me was my tears of my forever burning courage.

I know I will live once more. I know my friends will be waiting for me in the 30th century. Maybe I did die trying to save everything but I know I’ve won! I never gave up. My new life will be waiting…
